Vases and Candleholders

What materials are your vases and candleholders made from?

All vases and candleholders are made from ceramic, with a matte or satin finish.

How should I care for my vases and candleholders?

Our ceramic vases are meant for indoor use, and can be used with fresh, dried or faux flowers. If using with fresh flowers, we suggest adding a water cap to the ends of your stems for easy cleanup and replacement of old bouquets. If you prefer to add water to the bottom of the vase, do it! After usage, rinse your vase and add warm water and soap to soak off any stuck on leaves or stems. Turn upside down to dry out before refilling. To maintain finish, wipe clean with a damp cloth.

What is the difference between bud vases and vases?

Great question! Our bud vases are smaller vases that can hold 1 - 3 oz of water and are intended to support 1 - 5 individual cut stems, while our vases are larger and can support longer stems and fuller bouquets. Both vase styles are molded ceramic with matte and satin finishes.

Our jewelry is tarnish-resistant. While you can wear it in the shower or while swimming, we recommend removing your jewelry before doing any water activities to ensure long-lasting quality. However, any tarnish that does occur can easily be remediated with a silver polishing cloth.

What is the difference between Zircon and Cubic Zirconia?

Zircon is a natural, earth-mined silicate mineral available in many colors, while cubic zirconia(CZ) is a synthetic, lab-created, colorless diamond simulant. On the Mohs scale, Zircon is softer (6.5–7.5 Mohs) and can scratch, whereas CZ is harder (8–8.5 Mohs), heavier, and more durable, though CZ can get cloudy over time.

Zircon has high birefringence (doubling of facets), while CZ does not. CZ is generally flawless, whereas natural Zircon may have inclusions. Natural Zircon comes in blue, green, red, yellow, brown, and colorless. Cubic zirconia is typically colorless but can be made in any color. Generally, Natural Zircon is more valuable than synthetic Cubic Zirconia.
